It offers a wide variety of cultural places, such as theaters, museums, art galleries, concert halls, with crafts and fine arts works of the highest order, also popular and modern music, as well as classical, ballet the Handicraft Market, the Central Market and the booths near the Democracy Square, the city of Moravia has numerous and varied shops. Modern shopping centers are located in the outskirts.

At night, San José is a vibrant city with high-quiality options in dining to suit the most demanding tastes, trendy bars, clubs and discotheques, complemented with cinemas, theaters and concert halls.

Enjoy the sun and waves safely, it is a good idea to swim alone, ask a ranger or local about possible dangers, do not leave any values unguarded on the beach, and always remember the sunscreen!

Most stores and offices open around 9:00 a.m. and close around 6:00-7:00 p.m. Goverment offices are open from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. 
 

They are similar to those in Canada and United States. All street signs refer to speed or distance in kilometers. There are also signs marking passing zones. Gasoline is sold by liter (“regular” or “Super” –unleaded-). Use of seat belts is required by law.

Lightweight cotton clothing and shorts are recommended. Warm clothing and rain gear will be needed if visiting the highlands and cloud forest. For beach/water trips a hat, sunglasses and waterproof sandals. A rain jacket and sturdy walking shoes if undertaking hiking tours. Don’t forget insect repellent for jungle trips, personal medication, sun lotion/sun block.
